purchase and payment-status information;
-
information about the courses or products you have purchased;
-
course access and progress information held within Kajabi;

-
information you choose to provide during live sessions, feedback, surveys or private communities;
-
marketing preferences;
-
technical information associated with accessing our website and online course platform.
We do not receive or store your full card details. Payment information is handled by the payment providers available through our Kajabi checkout.
3. Why we use your information
We use personal information to:
-
process purchases and provide access to courses and digital products;
-
create and administer your customer account;
-
provide customer support;
-
send important service communications relating to your purchase or account;
-
administer CPD completion, assessments and certificates where applicable;
-
administer Founder benefits, live sessions and private groups where applicable;
-
maintain records for accounting, tax and legal purposes;
-
protect the security and integrity of our website, courses and intellectual property;
-
improve our courses and customer experience;
-
send marketing communications where we are permitted to do so.
4. Our lawful bases
Depending on the purpose, we rely on one or more of the following lawful bases:
Contract — where we need your information to sell and deliver a course or product you have purchased, provide your account and fulfil the agreement with you.
Legal obligation — where we are required to retain or use information for tax, accounting or other legal requirements.
Legitimate interests — where reasonably necessary to operate and protect the business, provide customer support, maintain security, prevent misuse and improve our services, provided those interests do not override your rights.
Consent — where you have actively chosen to receive optional marketing communications or where consent is otherwise required.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
5. Email communications
Transactional and service emails relating to something you have purchased are not the same as marketing emails. We may need to send these so that you can access and use your purchase.
Where you opt in to marketing, we may also email you about courses, events, resources and related Jackie Quayle Yoga Academy offers.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe option contained in those emails.
Unsubscribing from marketing will not stop essential emails relating to a product or service you have purchased.
6. Payments
Payments are processed through Kajabi and the payment providers offered at checkout.
We receive information confirming whether a transaction has been completed, but we do not receive or store your complete debit or credit card details.
Payment providers process information under their own privacy terms.
7. Kajabi and other service providers
The Journey Within and other digital products are hosted and delivered using Kajabi.
We may also use service providers for functions such as:
-
payment processing;
-
email delivery;
-
website hosting;
-
customer support;
-
accounting and record keeping;
-
video or digital-content delivery;
-
private online communities and communications.
These providers only receive the information reasonably necessary for the services they provide.
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where an international transfer takes place, appropriate legal safeguards are used where required, such as applicable adequacy arrangements or contractual protections.
8. Facebook, WhatsApp and other private communities
Some courses or Founder benefits may include optional access to a private Facebook group, WhatsApp group or another community platform.
If you choose to join one of these communities, information you share there may be visible to other members according to the settings and rules of that platform.
Those platforms also process personal information under their own privacy policies.
Please think carefully before sharing sensitive or highly personal information in a group environment.
9. Course reflections and personal information
Some Jackie Quayle Yoga Academy courses contain reflection exercises and journals.
Where a journal or worksheet is downloaded and completed privately by you, we do not have access to what you write unless you choose to share it with us.
If you voluntarily share personal information with us during feedback, support, live sessions or community discussions, we will only use it as reasonably necessary for that interaction and administration of the course.
10. Cookies and similar technology
Our website and course platform may use cookies and similar technologies for functions such as secure login, checkout, account access, site operation and analytics.
Some cookies are necessary for the site to function. Other technologies may require consent depending on their purpose.
11. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet legal, accounting and contractual obligations.
Because some Jackie Quayle Yoga Academy products include lifetime access, customer-account and course-access records may need to be retained while that access continues.
Financial and transaction records may be retained for the period required by tax and accounting law.
Marketing information is retained until you unsubscribe, withdraw consent where applicable, or it is no longer reasonably required.
If you ask us to erase account information, please be aware that deleting information required to operate your course account may affect your ability to continue accessing a lifetime-access product.
12. Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights including:
-
the right to access your personal information;
-
the right to have inaccurate information corrected;
-
the right to request erasure;
-
the right to restrict certain processing;
-
the right to object to certain processing;
-
the right to data portability in applicable circumstances;
-
the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests and to object to the use of your personal information for direct marketing.
Not every right applies in every situation, and some information may need to be retained where there is a lawful reason to do so.
To exercise a right, email info@jackiequayleyoga.co.uk.
13. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we use your personal information, please contact us first so that we can try to resolve the issue.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection.
14. Changes to this notice
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time where our services, systems or legal obligations change.
The current version will be made available on our website.
